Having pioneered the digital brand through Medtronic Connect we continued to nurture the relationship and were next asked to create a family of digitally optimized icons that would work well across a variety of devices and sizes. We devised a system with rules that made it possible to efficiently create our little family of 384 .svg’s that can maintain continuity as it grows over time. Scaling jumps between target sizes in even pixel amounts to ensure clean rendering and a system of “appenders” allows each icon to have additional layers of meaning.
